Quantitative CyberQuest™

Quantitative CyberQuest™ (QCQ) is a program for developing analytical relationships and employing them to make forecasts. The software guides the user through a seven step process, starting with envisioning the problem situation and ending with making forecasts under various policy/decision scenarios.

Quantitative CyberQuest (QCQ) was born out of the frustration with conventional forecasting tools and traditional statistical regression analysis techniques. How do you get a handle on the potential size of a market where the technology you are proposing is so new that there are not comparative models? How do you determine the impact of Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement on a state budget? How do you predict university campus population growth when distance learning is implemented? QCQ deals with real world problems, where marginal data, ambiguous issues, and conflicting priorities are the rule, but you need answers nonetheless.

Quantitative CyberQuest is a new program for developing quantitative relationships and employing them to make forecasts. The software guides the user through a seven step process, starting with envisioning the problem situation and ending with making forecasts under various strategy scenarios.

QCQ is intended to be a technique for analytic discovery. QCQ basically is a combination of scientific research methodology, "qualitative" research, cause/effect questioning, regression (of a new type), dynamic modelling, scenario generation, and forecasting. All this takes place in a quasi-Expert System environment that guides the user through the process.

Unique Features:

  • Explicit Identification of Client, Resources
  • Checklists for Variable Identification
  • Content and Situation Structuring Analyses
  • Cause and Effect Analysis
  • Possible Links Analysis
  • Varying Time Delays and Anticipations
  • Catalysts and Catalysis
  • "Pre-Equalization" Analysis to Select Best Regression Type
  • Choice of Goodness-of-Fit Criterion
  • Scenario Generation and Forecasting

If the future seems daunting, and you need to know what you may have to face down the road, Quantitative CyberQuest is the answer. Newman and Von Morgenstern, Nobel Laureates and authors of the book, Game Theory and Economic Behavior, state that the most probable winners in games and real life are those with the best information. Quantitative CyberQuest gives you that edge.

Since QCQ is new, full-scale applications are just now being undertaken. Examples of smaller-scale cases are:

  • Carbon Monoxide Concentration, in Urban Areas
  • Implementation of Strategie Planning by Federal Agencies
  • Educational Attainment as a Function of Father Living at Home
  • Information Technology Implementation in Local Governments
  • Revenue Generation From 500 Channel Technology
  • Future of Next Generation Manufacturing Systems
  • Factors Affecting Designation of "Ward of the State"
  • National Health Insurance Coverage and Costs
