    Amin Asfari

    Dr. Amin Asfari serves as an Associate Professor of Criminal Justice at Wake Tech College and an adjunct professor of Social Science research methods at North Carolina Wesleyan College, as well as an adjunct professor in the department of History, Political Science, and Criminal Justice at Campbell University.

    Amin also serves as a contributing faculty member in the PhD program at the School of Public Policy and Administration at Walden University. He has published refereed articles and book chapters and presented at national academic conferences on issues of immigration, policing, and public policy—he has also been an invited speaker at several university campuses throughout the United States. Amin holds an MS degree in criminal justice from East Carolina University and a PhD in Public Policy and Administration from Walden University.

    Amin has recently served as a consultant to the 5-year strategic planning committee in the “Spark Initiative” at Wake Tech College, the largest junior college in North Carolina. Specifically, his work dealt with the development of equity policies for the college, ensuring alignment to the mission and vision. Amin also led the first strategic plan for the largest Islamic Center in the Southeast—the Islamic Association of Raleigh.
