    Dick Larkin

    ​Dr. G. Richard Larkin is a faculty member and previous director of the Public Policy and Administration PhD program at Walden University. Dick held faculty and administrative positions at the University of West Georgia, Auburn University, the University of Southern Mississippi, the West Virginia College of Graduate Studies, and Concord College.

     

    Dick received his MURP in Urban and Regional Planning and PhD in Public Administration from Virginia Tech. He studied as a University of Michigan’s Inter-University Consortium for Political and Social Research summer program scholar in quantitative methods in social research.

     

    Dick was a founding member of PRISM Associates, a planning and management consulting firm. He has over 30 years of research and consulting experience in comprehensive planning, new town and resort planning, sustainable development, coastal policy, electoral redistricting, public defender caseload studies, educational technology utilization, economic development, and agricultural policy. Dick has authored or co-authored numerous consulting reports and academic articles. He has delivered over 80 presentations and workshops and given testimony before the U.S. House of Representatives.

     

    Dick's clients have included the City of Senoia, Georgia; Carrol County Georgia; the Georgia Department of Community Affairs; the Mississippi Department of Marine Resources; and the National Association of Resource Conservation Districts.
